The book depicts the inner world of Soong Ch’ing-ling and how she devoted herself to the nation. Among the three sisters of the Soongs, Soong Ch’ing-ling is quite different from the other two. The nation is the top priority in her life. In her early times, her true love for Dr. Sun Yat-sen was never undermined despite difficulties. Later, she pursued truth at the cost of breaking away from her family. After the People’s Republic of China was founded, she devoted her life to children’s welfare. She lives up to the title of “Honorary President of China”.
